I really feel honoured to have received the skilled growth award granted by the Authorities of Australia to sponsor me to attend the five-week lengthy (November 4th to December ninth) on-line course titled “Information Evaluation in Ecology: Statistics for Ecology and Subject Biologist” supplied by the Division of Persevering with Schooling at College of Oxford, UK.

We live on the earth of information science. Be it financial valuation of biodiversity and ecosystems, conservation of pure sources or sustainable growth, the output of analysis largely relies on how the information have been collected and analyzed. knowledge evaluation separates good analysis from substandard and trivial one. The data of statistical ideas and strategies might improve our understanding of the system being studied and impacts on the area people and stakeholders.

Presently I’m concerned in analysis on ecology and conservation of amphibians related to forested montane freshwater streams. The endemic, discovered solely in a single explicit locality and nowhere else on the earth, frog species are related to distinctive set of environmental situations in northern mountainous areas of Pakistan. I’m integrating conservation of wildlife with sustainable growth and native com- munity aware- ness packages. By studying the usage of descriptive and inferential statistics, utilizing QED statistics and the R statistical programming language, to research the outcomes from discipline surveys and experiments, I can drastically enhance my capability to show and interpret the information and get scientific articles revealed in respected periodicals in addition to disseminate the standard info. I’m indebted with because of the Authorities of Australia (Australia International Alumni, Australia Awards Program) for this chance.
